Material selection is where a custom suit is really decided. The same pattern in two different cloths produces two very different garments.
Weight and climate
Lighter cloth is more comfortable in humid conditions and travels well. Heavier cloth holds a crease and structure better but can be warm for daytime wear in Bali.
Weave and texture
A smooth, closed weave reads formal and sharp. Open or textured weaves feel more relaxed and hide creasing, which is useful for travel and outdoor events.
Colour
- Navy and charcoal are the most flexible for business and evening wear
- Mid greys and soft browns work well in daylight
- Lighter tones suit outdoor and coastal events
Linings and internal construction
A half-lined or unlined jacket is cooler to wear. A fully lined jacket gives a cleaner interior finish and slightly more structure. Both are options during the consultation.
Matching pieces
If you plan to order leather accessories alongside the suit, choosing belt and shoe leather at the same time makes it easier to keep tones consistent.
